College Links
We have links with a number of local colleges and our students have the opportunity to attend a local college for a day a week in their final year at school.
Most of our students are placed at local colleges once they are 19, where they are offered courses tailored to their needs.

Communication with families
Post 19 Transition
We run regular coffee mornings and workshops to inform parents of the various options available at post 19. These are organised by our family services team and supported by sixth form teachers.
We also inform parents of options available at their child’s Annual Review. We can arrange visits for you if you would like to visit the provision on offer.
Some students attend a weekly link course at one of the local colleges during their final 2 years at school and we can help put you in touch with colleges if you would like more information, and we also arrange visits for you.
Applications for college placements need to be made through your local authority and for further information you should consult their local offer.
Future Placements
Once your local authority has agreed on a future placement we will arrange a transition, which will include visits and sharing of information.
Colleges
The majority of year 11 students choose to join the Moorcroft Sixth Form. In September 2022, All student who had been in year 11 during the previous academic year stayed on at Moorcroft. As part of the Sixth Form curriculum we prepare students for their chosen destination once they leave us.

Moving On
In July 2022, 11 year 14 pupils left the school. 10 pupils were offered placements at Orchard Hill College Trust. 1 pupil chose not to move on to further education.
